About The Rich Dad Company

The Rich Dad Company Story

Robert and Kim Kiyosaki began The Rich Dad Company with a book and a game.  However, Robert and Kim didn’t start The Rich Dad Company because they wanted to write books or create games or even start a company.  They started it all because they wanted to teach people financial education and enlighten them to the things the rich know about money.  They wanted to open up a world of wealth creation to everyone.  After all, if you’re motivated and willing to learn, you can and should have your shot at fulfilling your dreams.

Robert's and Kim’s noble goal came from experience.  There was a time in their own lives when they were deeply in debt, penniless and certainly not living their dream life.  They rose from the depths of what many would call financial ruin to now be counted among America’s most successful and wealthy people.  “If we could do it, anyone can,” they thought, “We just have to teach them.”

Lifelong learners, Robert and Kim knew that it would take more than an academic “Accounting 101” approach to break through to people who knew very little about money and who might even be a little afraid of it all.  They knew their teaching methods would have to be fun, entertaining, experiential, and connect with people.  Thus, the game CASHFLOW was born.  This fun-to-play, community building and empowering game is now heralded as Monopoly on steroids, but a game did not get the word out or teach the masses on its own.  It was Robert's and Kim’s energy and willingness to teach anyone who wanted to learn that made the difference.

These humble, yet fertile, beginnings evolved into a full-fledged financial education company, and now, into a franchise opportunity.  Finally, Rich Dad enthusiasts can teach others how to take charge of their financial futures with the support of Robert, Kim, the team at The Rich Dad Company, and thousands of followers worldwide.
